Erik guest hosts, during the football season on the Morning Sports Page (MSP) 95.5 fm The Game in a segment called the “Pro-zone”. Erik’s football jersey number is 4 and like Chad Johnson (Ocho Cinco) Erik quickly was tagged with the nickname “Cuatro” while working on the MSP.

Erik/Cuatro is an Oregon athlete.  As a youngster he participated in Future Stars of America.  He played five years of little league baseball (CCJBA) in Canby Oregon.  He earned All Conference and All State honors his junior year at Gladstone H.S. in both wrestling and football.  He transferred to Lakeridge H.S. for his senior year and earned All Conference and All State honors again in both wrestling and football for the Pacers.

Erik was a Speech\Communications major at OSU.  Redshirted his first year then was a four year starter at QB for the Beavs. Erik passed for 9,393 yards and surpassed John Elway as the all time leading passer in the history of the PAC -10 at that time.  He played in the Blue-Gray and East-West Shrine college All Star games to conclude his collegiate career.

During the off seasons of his NFL career and every year since Erik has either hosted or participated in Football Camps locally, throughout the U.S and abroad with NFL programs (Russia, Belgium, and France).

“I am grateful to have lived my dream of playing football at the highest level and for as long as I did.  I would put in the same effort even if it were only for 1 day”.

My goal - - thanks to Alex Molden and our great sponsor Nike- - is to share my love/knowledge of football with young football players from our area so that they might have their day in the “Sun”, rain, snow... whatever the conditions might be…

Receivers Coach

Kory Murphy is a Benson High School and University of Oregon graduate who now is an assistant coach for the Techmen.  He was a 3-year letterman as a receiver for the Ducks and played on the 1995 Rose Bowl team.  Currently, Kory works for the Oregon Department of Human Services as a policy analyst and is pursuing a Masters of Social Work degree through Portland State University.  Kory’s experience in running crisp routes, snatching the ball, and gaining YAC - along with his ability to connect with youth - makes him a very effective coach.
